Hearts In Surrender formed in the summer of 1999. A group of individuals was called to minister outside their own church family, to praise God and to touch people in a fresh new way. They shared a belief that the human voice is the most beautiful and complex of instruments. Those shared talents and voices blended beautifully to create a unique acappella style. Starting with their own special arrangements of modern praise and worship music, Hearts eventually transitioned to a more contemporary Christian sound. Along the way, the group has arranged, performed and recorded several of their own original compositions as well. More recently, Hearts has ventured into the secular realm, adding 'oldies' from the '50s and '60s to their repertoire. These songs have been well received and confirm that music (of any style) is truly a gift from God.
Hearts has been blessed to share their music with a wide range of people in a variety of forums. Their travels have taken them all over Northeast Texas and beyond. From children's homes to hospitals, from prisons and jails to schools, and from college campuses to wedding chapels. Hearts has been a part of numerous church functions including gospel meetings, holiday programs, praise nights and special services. They have provided entertainment for banquets, dinners and many fund raising events. Hearts also has the privilege of bringing special music to the worship of their home church family from time to time.

As with any endeavor, one of the few constants has been change. Only two current members remain from the original 1999 group. But each time there has been a need, God has answered prayers beautifully. And through it all, the distinctive Hearts sound remains. As do their goals and desires: to praise, to minister, to uplift, to worship, to reach out and to celebrate through God's gift of music.
Whether you prefer praise, pop or percussion, you are sure to enjoy the lush harmonies and signature style of Hearts In Surrender.
